The threat was made via email on Thursday around 7:35 a.m., according to a release from the DA's office.

After an extensive floor-by-floor search, deputies, assisted by an Explosive Detection K9 unit, found no evidence of this being a legitimate threat, according to the release.

The courthouse functions were conducted as usual on Thursday, the release states.

"All elected officials, department heads and employees were notified of the threat and they were advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or items to the Sheriff’s Office," as the release states.

This is the second bomb threat made at the courthouse this year. The first was in March, as Daily Voice reported at the time.
